1-800TRUCKWRECK AND FIESTA MART PROVIDE 1,000 THANKSGIVING MEALS TO NORTH TEXAS FAMILIES

Lines stretch over two blocks as families arrived the night before for free turkeys and $50 gift cards

North Texas families turned out in force Friday morning as 1-800TruckWreck, powered by Witherite Law Group, partnered with Fiesta Mart and DeDe in the Morning and Cat Daddy of K104 FM to distribute 1,000 free turkeys and $50 Fiesta Mart gift cards during the annual Turkey Giveaway. The event took place at Fiesta Mart #76 in Fort Worth, helping local families prepare a meaningful Thanksgiving meal.

Though the event started at 10 a.m. Friday morning, people began lining up as early as 8 p.m. the night before. By the start of the event, the line wrapped more than two blocks around the store and shopping center. All turkey and gift cards, representing more than $100,000 in donations, were distributed within hours. Each family received one turkey and one gift card on a first-come, first-served basis.

The need for food assistance remains high in North Texas. According to Feeding America, Texas leads the nation in food insecurity, with the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area ranking among the highest in the country. The annual Turkey Giveaway is part of 1-800TruckWreck’s ongoing effort to help address this growing challenge.

For more than a decade, 1-800TruckWreck has prioritized giving back during the holiday season – distributing meals and supporting community organizations dedicated to fighting hunger across North Texas.
