’50 States in 50 Days’ Brings ESPN SportsCenter to Fort Worth, broadcasting North Crowley/Euless Trinity Scrimmage

What’s that noise in the distance? It’s the sound of SportsCenter in Fort Worth! ESPN’s flagship program comes to town tonight as part of its 50 States in 50 Days programming. Tonight’s broadcast from Crowley ISD Stadium is anchored by Hannah Storm who will be joined Coach Ray Gates, John Turrentine II (Senior OL, North Crowley) and Nathan Eolvoldi (Pitcher, Texas Rangers). You can watch it when it airs LIVE at 5 P.M. ahead of the North Crowley and Euless Trinity Varsity scrimmage. After outpacing every opponent last year, the North Crowley Panthers raced to a 50-21 thrashing of Austin Westlake to claim the 2024 UIL 6A Division I football championship. With MVP and quick as lightning wide-out Quentin Gibson moving on to Colorado University, Chris Jimerson (University of North Texas) and other 2025 senior standouts moving on, tonight’s matchup is the first look at the re-tooled Panther squad.

No shortage of QB Talent at North Crowley

The Euless Trinity Trojans are a perennial football powerhouse who remain in the postseason football conversation. Trinity looks to regain its footing amongst power programs in the state, matching up against the latest to harness the power of its community’s talent in the Panthers of North Crowley. One could imagine that these two teams are pretty evenly matched considering their championship pedigree. North Crowley won its second football championship (2003, 2024) last year, while Euless Trinity’s dynasty captured three championships in a five-year span (2005, 2007, 2009).

Texas State Football Rankings: How’s your team looking this year?

The Panthers enter the 2025 season ranked second in the state beneath the 2024 6A Division 2 runners up the Southlake Carroll Dragons, while the Trojans enter the season ranked fourteenth with a hefty climb ahead of them once the season enters full swing. If history is any predictor of tonight’s matchup, you will see a showcase of speed versus strength. North Crowley’s impressive speed launched them to a commanding lead in the state championship game as they literally ‘ran away’ with the game and kept it out of reach for Westlake. Trinity brings speed, strength and an ability to win in the trenches and drive opposing linemen toward and away from their goal line.
