Travis Greene Receives Three BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARD Nominations Across All Gospel Categories

Travis Greene continues to cement his place as a top Gospel artist by securing three Billboard Music Award nominations across all Gospel categories, as announced live this morning on NBC’s “Today” show. Travis is nominated for “Top Gospel Artist,” “Top Gospel Song” and “Top Gospel Album” for his chart-topping album titled CROSSOVER:  LIVE FROM MUSIC CITY.  The 2018 Billboard Music Awards will air on NBC live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 20 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Greene won “Top Gospel Song” at last year’s 2017 Billboard Music Awards with his No. 1 hit single, “Made A Way.”  With today’s announcement, Greene has now received eight career Billboard Music Award nominations.

Travis started 2018 with a bang — with a GRAMMY® nomination and sold-out first leg of his much-anticipated “Crossover Live Tour,” in support of CROSSOVER:  LIVE FROM MUSIC CITY. Keeping up the momentum, Greene announced a second leg of the tour titled “Crossover Live Tour Vol. 2”, which kicked-off on March 2, making April and May stops in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Birmingham, Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tampa. In addition to the 2017 Billboard win and eight Billboard Award career nominations, Greene has also been nominated for three GRAMMY® Awards,one 49th NAACP Image Awards nomination;  13 Stellar Awardsthree Dove Awards and one Soul Train Award.  Travis Greene was awarded four Stellar Awards for the 2018 ceremony that took place in March, taking home the honors for “Artist of the Year,” “Male Vocalist of the Year,” “Contemporary Male Vocalist of the Year” and “Producer of the Year,” with a total of seven Stellar wins.

19 Year-Old GRAMMY-nominated independent recording artist Jekalyn Carr received her first two nominations for the upcoming 2017 Billboard Music Awards, that was announced yesterday by the leading trade publication. Carr received honors for Top Gospel Artist and Top Gospel Song for her smash hit single “You’re Bigger,” which spent four weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay and Digital Gospel Songs Sales charts and was the 2nd Most Played Gospel Song of 2016 according to Billboard Magazine Year-End charts.

2017 has been a big year for Jekalyn Carr thus far, receiving her first-ever GRAMMY nomination for “Best Gospel Song/Performance” (“You’re Bigger”) and five Stellar Gospel Music Award nominations.

This singing sensation is gearing up as a featured artist on the upcoming highly anticipated 20-city Bloody Win Tour w/ Tye Tribbett, JJ Hairston and Tasha Cobbs and the 16-city McDonald’s Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour alongside Donald Lawrence, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Brian Courtney Wilson, Anita Wilson, Paul Porter and Tye Tribbett.

Tillymann Music Platinum-selling artist Tamela Mann has garnered her first Billboard Music Award nomination for Top Gospel Artist. The awards show recognizes the hottest names in music today. Tamela is currently on the Mann’s World Family Tour, co-headlining with husband, actor and comedian David Mann. The 25-city spring leg of the tour is making stops across the country, including three sold-out shows last weekend in New York City, NY, Trenton, NJ, and Washington DC.

The Grammy® winner is on the road promoting her Billboard multi-week chart-topping No. 1 album One Way.
