2019 was a whirlwind year for the her, adding another Stellar Gospel Music Award to her collection, a new husband, last name and city. With the release of her new single “Why Not Me“, she celebrates her journey and its many meandering measures that have gotten her to where she is, today. With all that last year added to her life, she’s chosen to subtract much of what you’ve known her for, as she embarks upon the latest season of her life. Her name? It’s simply, TASHA.
A God given talent, Tasha is the daughter of legendary gospel singer Lisa Page Brooks of the female group Witness. Growing up around music and watching her mother perform all over the country, she began singing at a young age recording commercial jingles for companies such as Dodge, Bisquick, K-Mart and United Way, and in 2001, became the youngest member of her mother’s award-winning group.
Introduced to mainstream gospel as Tasha Page-Lockhart, she has crafted a signature sound that lifts listeners to euphoric heights. Never one to shy away from her journey- past, present or future, whether singing “I’m Different“, “Faith Come Alive“, “Over and Over“, or any other song, one endearing attribute she’s loved for is her sincerity.

This sincerity comes through in her new single, released by Jovan Dawkins’ Heritage Music Group (Legacy). TASHA teamed up with Dawkins to write and produce the single which released today. The single is available on all digital streaming platforms and purchasing outlets.
