“Hear My Heart” is a personal record for Mineo, a tribute to his big sister Grace who is deaf. “It’s just an honest record of me essentially apologizing to her for having never learned sign language growing up,” he explains openly during an interview with hip-hop culture icon and veteran Sway Calloway of Sirius XM’s Sway In The Morning.

We’re putting together a music video,” he continues, “I want to see sounds. So we’re really working on something creative and special for her because I really just want her to know that I love her and I’m sorry.”

Mineo collaborated with Alex Medina and Director Kyle Dettman to create an innovative visual that is accessible to the Deaf and hard of hearing community.  In the video, Andy Mineo signs his lyrical performance and sounds are brought to life through visually interesting 3D objects.
