Welcome to our 2024 High School Football Coverage. As often as possible, we’ll cover local games and on-field marching competitions this fall. First up, the Southwest Raiders of Fort Worth and the Panther Creek Panthers of Frisco square off to kick off our local coverage of weekend football action in DFW.
The Raiders of Southwest took on the Panther Creek Panthers. The outcome was a lopsided loss for the Raiders, whose early season struggles continued. Though there were a few high points for the emerging Raiders, this game was never in doubt for the Panthers! With the UIL realignment, the Raiders will face more schools from smaller districts with bigger athletic programs such as Panther Creek in Frisco. Despite their dismal showing, UNT commit Raylon Carter of Southwest made his presence known and felt in the trenches. Expect to see more from him and hear his name called, this season. The Raiders rely heavily on their ground attack, as they seem to still be developing their aerial attack. Panther Creek made quick work of each Raider possession, stonewalling the rush and shutting down any attempt of moving the ball through the air. Fred Willis provided shots below.
